Milan interested in De Zerbi
Italian journalist Alessandro Jacobone has explained that AC Milan have been working quietly on a deal to sign former Sassuolo head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
De Zerbi is leaving Brighton and Hove Albion by mutual consent in 2024 but Bayern Munich are also interested in signing him.
Milan have enquired about De Zerbi in recent days, but the Serie A champions are not the only club interested in signing him. Bayern Munich are also interested in signing De Zerbi, and the Bundesliga champions could offer him a more competitive contract.
De Zerbi is a highly-rated coach, and he has a good track record of developing young players. He led Sassuolo to an eighth-place finish in Serie A in the 2020/21 season, and he also helped the club reach the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.
De Zerbi would be a good fit for Milan, and he could help the club to challenge for the Serie A title next season. However, Milan will need to move quickly if they want to sign De Zerbi, as Bayern Munich are also interested in signing him.
