Severe Weather Alert
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Weather Alert for Chicago, IL. The alert is in effect until 10:00 PM CST.
The alert includes the following hazards:
- Heavy rain
- Strong winds
- Possible hail
- Possible tornadoes
Residents are advised to take precautions and be prepared for severe weather. Stay indoors, away from windows. If you must go outside, wear sturdy shoes and clothing. Be aware of your surroundings and listen for any announcements from local authorities.
Flood Warning
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Chicago River. The warning is in effect until 8:00 AM CST.
The warning includes the following areas:
- Chicago Loop
- Near North Side
- Near South Side
Residents in these areas are advised to be prepared for flooding. Stay away from low-lying areas and do not drive through flooded roadways.
Wind Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Chicago, IL. The advisory is in effect until 6:00 PM CST.
The advisory includes the following areas:
- Cook County
- DuPage County
- Kane County
Residents in these areas are advised to be prepared for strong winds. Secure loose objects outdoors and be aware of potential power outages.
